As requested, I watched the videos in the RockTheJob Blog. I found it very interesting, especially when they talk about how companies nowadays use the Internet to get information about their interviewees. The problem is that this can be very good for the employer but there is a dangerous side too. We use the Internet not only for career purpose but also in our day by day social networking. Sometimes some information about my social life can be not interesting to let my employer know.

Nowadays maintain a Facebook account requires constant surveillance about what people can post there. A single mistake can make you lose a job opportunity.

I tried “Googling” my name and fortunately I only found things about my past working experiences in Brazil. I didn’t find any picture of me drunk in a party. 😛
