Twitter gets funding of $ 100 million

Joint social networking and microblogging service, Twitter is one of the fastest growing sites in recent years. Now the company founded by Evan Williams (who also created the Blogger.com) new lease of life with the injection of $ 100 million, achieved through a pool of investment funds. The result is nearly double the initial expectations, and assesses the site in about $ 1 billion.

The official announcement came this morning, the blog Twitter. In the post, Ev says he is confident in the future, and thank you publicly to investors partners – companies Insight Venture Partners, T. Rowe Price, Institutional Venture Partners, Spark Capital and Benchmark Capital.
